Design Office Engineer
Your challenge:
As part of Cotherm’s design office, Serial Life Division, you will be responsible for taking part in the design standardisation project by creating models and structures using CAD software, working closely with a project team at first, and providing a technical response tailored to customer requirements for the supply of thermostats and resistors across the full range of customer applications covered by the company. You will also take part in implementing and managing product and component modifications. You will be actively involved in supporting and developing our internal design processes.
Your missions:
Participate (as part of a team) in the pre-sales sampling/creation of thermostats:

- Propose a technical thermostat solution for a water heater or other customer applications (taking into account performance, cost and lead times while meeting customer requirements)
Automate the CREO creation/modification process:

- Standardise your designs
- Simplify model creation
- Create models and templates that can be used in the SMARTASSEMBLY library
- Create SMARTASSEMBLY structures
Managing changes to products in service (requests come from quality, processes, customers, etc.) for:

- New supplier
- Changes linked to continuous improvement
- Changes to solve quality problems
- Changes to improve productivity
- Support for process/industry changes
Cross-functional technical support:

- Supporting team members with technical advice and promoting knowledge transfer (capitalising on what has been done, sharing) and the development of the department’s tools.
Your are the ideal candidate if:
- You have a degree in mechanical engineering
- You are a recent graduate or have some initial experience in an industrial environment
- You have knowledge of CREO8 or equivalent
- You have knowledge of ISO GPS dimensioning
- You have a solid grounding in mechanical engineering
- You are technically rigorous and reliable, able to analyse and solve problems, organised, a good communicator and a good team player
