Your challenge

Manage orders from launch, through follow-up with the supplier, to receipt at the requesting site.

Your main tasks will be to:

  1. Manage orders from launch, through follow-up with the supplier, to receipt at the requesting site:
  • Monitoring stock levels and studying proposals for launching orders in terms of quantity and lead time to avoid shortages.
  • Take into account the parameters of the items (batch size, supply cycle, transport cycle, incoterms) and the capacity of the suppliers to be able to launch orders appropriately.
  • Initiate orders, validate them with management if necessary, sign them and send them to suppliers.
  • Correct orders if necessary in the event of price anomalies or minimum thresholds, and return them.
  • Receive and update acknowledgements of receipt, measure risks and alert if there are any.
  • Check the documents for shipments to ensure that they comply with receipt at the requesting site.
  • Ensure that the goods have been properly received at the shop.

  1. Maintain and update article parameters:
  • Check item records and ensure they are updated in line with variable data collected internally (safety stock in line with coverage and storage strategies), or externally with suppliers (contract incoterm, quotation percentage in the case of multi-sourcing, production cycle, transport cycle, etc.).
  • Check that items are allocated by consumption site according to the supply strategy (purchased item, distributed item, etc.).
  1. Ensure that supplies are delivered in the quantities and to the times requested
  • Combine the two points above to ensure that supplies run smoothly.
  • Monitor the Net Requirement Calculation, and check order proposals to ensure that parts arrive on time and in the right quantities.
  • Validate the order and send it to the supplier.
  • Monitor orders on a weekly basis, extracting order books.
  • Follow-up with suppliers and/or escalate problems if necessary.
  1. Maintain stable and reliable relationships with suppliers:
  • Monitor the routines set up with suppliers for exchanges or collaboration.
  • Sending minutes after each meeting.
  • Monitor and steer action plans with suppliers, if any.
  • Exchanging information frequently on capacity and the possibility of changing planning in the event of a sudden change in requirements.
  1. Be responsive and flexible to changes and unforeseen events:
  • Adapting to an evolving environment and to unforeseen events that can change the data.
