July 1^st 2025, the new European regulation 2024/1103 enter into force as un update of Eco-design regulation for local space heaters and their control systems.

The main goal is to improve energy efficiency and lower the environmental impact of heating appliances like electric radiators.

👉 What does it change ?

• The scope of product has been widened to cover also commercial product, solid fuel heater and separate tower dry from the generic electric space heater
• Minimum efficiency level has been raised and products must meet tighter limits on energy consumption and performance.
• New calculation has been defined with different function quotation that bring the efficiency value more realistic and closed to real situation
• System efficiency is also a new consideration as more products can interact with each other’s.
• New conversion factor of electricity has been updated taking into account the evolution of renewable energy part in European energy mix.
